Associate Director Procurement Role description : A seasoned professional responsible for overseeing the strategic direction and execution of procurement activities within an organization. Responsible for managing a team of procurement professionals and ensuring that the organization's procurement practices are aligned with its overall business objectives. The individual is responsible for developing and implementing long-term procurement strategies that support the organization's growth and profitability. Key responsibilities : • Developing and implementing procurement strategies aligned with the organization's goals and objectives. • Building and maintaining strong relationship with suppliers including negotiating contracts within the organizational guidelines and ensuring compliance with laws, regulations and contract terms and conditions. • Identifying and mitigating procurement risks, such as supply chain disruptions, quality issues, and financial losses and implementing risk management strategies and contingency plans. • Leading and managing a team of procurement professionals and ensuring the team’s efficiency and effectiveness. • Conducting regular audits and assessments to identify and address non-compliance issues. • Exploring new procurement methods and technologies to improve efficiency and effectiveness. • Identifying opportunities for innovation and driving change within the procurement function. Qualifications and Skills: Graduate / Post Graduate with 15+ years of experience in Procurement/ Supply chain or qualified professional with 10-15 years of relevant experience
