Mathematics Foundation Program Instructor (Full-time)

for the 2025-2026 Academic year American International University (AIU) is looking for a dynamic and engaged full-time faculty member for its Foundation Program. AIU welcomes candidates with a vision of excellence in instruction and a commitment to students' academic success.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Provides face-to-face instruction to AIU students.
2. Plans and prepares lessons for assigned preparatory math courses.
3. Maintains accurate grade and attendance records.
4. Collaborates with course coordinators to ensure course objectives are being met.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Delivers well-planned, creative, and engaging lessons.
2. Selects and uses a range of different learning resources and teaching styles appropriate to subject and topic.
3. Participates in the development of the course curriculum and the production of high-quality teaching and learning resources.
4. Commits to creating and maintaining a positive, engaging learning environment that is conducive to success for all students.
5. Ensures promptness and accuracy in maintaining records of student achievements and reporting results of student assessments in accordance with AIU practices and compliance with record management system requirements.
6. Handles a fast-paced, high-volume work environment.
7. Uses and updates the required course management systems.
8. Acts as a team player, demonstrating strong leadership skills and a high-energy level.
9. Supports department assessment initiatives.
10. Contributes to academic planning and strategic development.
11. Meets deadlines and performs efficiently in any role associated with teaching.
12. Participates in other job-related duties and activities related to the position as assigned, including but not limited to department meetings and office hours.
13. Exhibits excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mathematics or a closely related field.
2. Experience in developing course material as per accreditation and international standards.
3. Ability to integrate and use technology to enhance teaching and facilitate communication.
4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
5. Applicants must meet the credentials and guidelines given by the Private Universities Council (PUC).
