Responsibilities:
- Ensure correct uniform standards are followed at all times.
- Ensure the guests of the outlet experience an enjoyable, expertly served beverage/dining experience by following the outlet sequence of service.
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of the restaurant menu & daily specials at all times.
- Be familiar with the beverage service including stemware used and appropriate garnishes.
- Anticipate and service guests' requirements at all times.
- Prepare the outlet ready for service according to the outlet standard operating procedure or as per the specific manager's instructions.
- Ensure service stations are constantly cleared & re-stocked during service.
- Serve and clear food and beverage items in an unobtrusive and professional manner.
- Present menus and explanations for all menu items as well as specials of the day.
- Ascertain a guest's satisfaction and handle any problems that may arise, informing a manager of the issue and how it was resolved.
- Report all accidents or guest complaints immediately to a manager.
- Ensure expiration dates of perishable items are checked daily & stored in accordance with HACCP standards.
- Respond properly in any hotel emergency or safety situation.
- Break down any buffets, displays, or side stations when needed.
- Attend all necessary briefings & training sessions as instructed by the Operations Manager, Food and Beverage.
- Handle cash and credit card procedures according to the guidelines of the accounting department.
- Identify potential problems and ask for assistance before breakdown occurs.
- Perform any duties and special projects as requested by management whether in your own department or any other department in the resort.
- Have completed secondary school education.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Hospitality related Degree or Diploma.
- Minimum of 1-2 years experience as a waiter/waitress in a five-star hotel.
- Willingness to work during peak hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Advanced levels of Business English.
- Excellent food & beverage knowledge.
- The ability to work well under pressure.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Experienced in Fire & Life safety systems.
