Levvel's client - a prominent Power Generation and Renewable Energy organization - is seeking a Project Management Leader to join their Calgary operations. You are a Player-Coach!- Focus on Excellence with an eye for continuous improvement to systems and project delivery activities. - This company has grown quickly, so you have a mandate to *build* what doesn't exist today Acting as "player coach", the role is responsible for the supervision and performance of the assigned project team including responsible for the technical review, tracking, procurement, and logistic coordination of equipment and materials required for projects sold by the Sales department. The key accountability is to combine customer service, project management, change management and technical skills to provide accurate and timely execution of projects- on budget. Key Skills

What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)
  • SupervisionCoordinate the specific objectives of the assigned project team liaising with all departments of the company as required.
  • Develop, coach and mentor the team members to achieve goals and exceed customer expectations.
  • Hold team accountable for budgets, timelines, technical proficiency, activities and customer service and remove any "road block" to an efficient and effective process.
  • Provide reports and forecasts as requested on timely basis.
  • Collaborate with other project team in terms of sharing experience, technical knowledge and best practices processes
  • Project ManagementExecute, manage, track, and coordinate all activities of the project through technical review, submittals (drawings & manuals), order release, procurement, as built drawings, delivery schedules, invoicing and commissioning.
  • Review customer technical specifications and drawings.
  • Establishing scope definition and scope of work for projects or proposals including execution planning.
  • Establish project schedule and determine milestone dates.
  • Track, prioritize and resolve project issues.
  • Make decisions on projects’ technical issues.
  • Manage and control the cost of the projects through execution process in relation to the initial sourcing contract. Execute project on or under budget always trying to preserve Gross Margin. Prepare final cost analysis for projects after completion.
  • Monitor the project costing and report of any deviation from project quotation.
  • Act as primary customer liaison for site meetings, issues, support, etc.
  • Manage internal and external relationships associated with projects.
  • Oversee accurate and timely ‘submittal/approval’ packages for customers’ and consulting engineers’ review.
What You Need (Requirement)
  • Minimum 5 years experience in Project management and 3 years managing teams
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office modules, Microsoft Project, and database.
  • Superior oral and written communication skills are required for managing communications with regulatory officials, clients, suppliers, subcontractors and internal staff.
  • Experience in setting clear expectations, driving accountability and fostering collaborative and inclusive culture.
  • Strong skills in performance management, conflict resolution, and aligning team efforts with organizational objectives
  • Strong technical background (Electrical installations and equipment, power, lighting, control systems, industrial network and electrical generation) with solid understanding of matrix and cross-functional responsibilities.
  • Good familiarity with Canadian codes and national standards, particularly with CSA standards.
  • A self-starter and a team player who will work both in a team environment and independently.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD is an asset.
