- Assist Technical Manager in the investigation of Product Incidents, investigate and provide analysis on product, gap analyses of Standards, and processes associated documentation.
- Responsible for the logistics of the calibrated test equipment and ensuring test equipment meets calibration deadlines.
- Perform all testing and calibration as required in accordance with the eSAFE procedures and memos, and the FESG Quality System.
- Participate in audits and reviews of approved processes and methods to verify consistent application and improvements in compliance with accreditation requirements.
- Monitor ICS code and standard alignment to ensure compliance with ISO/IEC accreditation requirements.
- Maintain a specialized knowledge of products and equipment within the electrical industry through seminars, trade literature, training sessions.
- Attend monthly team meetings and annual all-staff training to maintain skills and knowledge required to perform the job function effectively and safely.
- Provide advice to customers in a courteous and professional manner regarding the safe approval or certification of electrical equipment.
- Provide written and verbal reports regarding the safe design of electrical equipment. Collect data and reports as required for supervisor in order to help support technical and compliance business initiatives.
- Maintain and process some relevant QMS and KPI auditing spreadsheets.
- Communicate quality issues to supervisor.
- Participate in and support the preparation of annual Internal and SCC Audit
- Responsible for Product Approval Labels, ensuring ample inventory and issuing labels to inspectors in accordance with eSAFE’s Label Control Procedure.
- Know and follow personal responsibilities for Health and Safety as indicated in the Electrical Inspection Health and Safety policy.
- Utilize and maintain safety equipment as provided and directed.
- Attend and contribute to safety meetings to ensure understanding and compliance with safety rules on the job.
- Travel to other jurisdictions as required. Interact professionally and proactively with Stakeholder personnel in all jurisdictions.
- Conduct on site testing and data collection as required while follow eSAFE’s H&S procedures as well as any site H&S procedures.
- In collaboration with Supervisor, participate in ongoing program maintenance; follow up on IT change requests and provide updates to supervisor.
- Assist with client complaints
- Support eSAFE Call Center when required by performing the various clerical functions associated with providing service to customers in a computerized Customer Service Centre.
- Process electrical approval applications for field evaluations, certification, OSP and other partnerships.
- Respond to customer inquiries via, phone and email. Input and retrieve information in a variety of specialized computer programs and update various databases for others to retrieve information.
- Plan and organize their own daily activities to best meet targets and goals set for the eSAFE team.
- Maintain an effective working relationship between Inspectors and staff in the Customer Service Centre and the eSAFE Management Team.

- Must have a good knowledge of English, the use of software packages, accounting principles and
- fundamentals and a proficiency in keyboard operation.
- Must be able to communicate effectively.
- Requires a good knowledge of data processing, computerized accounting systems and standard word processing and spreadsheet software to input, update and extract data and to produce correspondence.
- Requires experience to understand the electrical inspection office clerical procedures, forms, and formats, the Inspection Fee Schedule (IFS), the SAP system and accounting procedures.
- Requires experience to gain a basic understanding of inspection code and the non-technical rules and regulations as well as familiarity with electrical inspection terminologies used, in order to deal with enquiries from customers and contractors.
- Requires experience in the operation of call centre computer equipment and systems. A period of over one year up to and including two years is considered necessary to gain the required experience.
- Requires an in-depth working knowledge of the Electrical Product Approval line of business and requires the ability to learn and adapt quickly to understand, adjust and improve detailed internal processes.
- A period of up at least 2 years of relevant experience is required.
