Responsibilities:

  • To coordinate with the Agencies & the Internal R&D Team for the Company related Products Safety Certifications. Essential Functions: Provide regulatory engineering review, planning, testing and report administration for new product development efforts. Ultimately responsible for the execution of regulatory approval activities for the group. Work requires expert knowledge of safety and regulatory standards, engineering skill, and independent judgment
  • Proficient in application & standard interpretation for UL, CSA, CE, IEC, IS, CEA, ETL, IEEE, UN, NFPA, NEC Standards
  • Strong knowledge of Application & Design FMEA
  • Gain regulatory certifications on existing and newly developed products
  • Knowledge on new regulatory standards & document salient interpretations
  • Train appropriate product development staffs on regulatory requirements and test methods
  • Authorized for submission of reports for VDE, UL, CSA based on respective WTDP/TDAP/CTDP program
  • Organize compliance program by preparing timetables, cost estimates, and required resources including test laboratories and equipment
  • Maintain engineering team accomplishments by reviewing open issues and action items; coordinating actions; contributing information and analysis to team meetings and reports
  • Enhance engineering and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
  • Prevent compliance issues by collaborating with engineering planning and design teams; reviewing design data; identifying and resolving product and engineering design issues; identifying short-term and long-range issues; researching and identifying applicable regulatory and industry compliance standards and codes; developing compliance policies
  • Develop compliance plans by researching, analyzing, selecting, and applying compliance engineering concepts, approaches, techniques, and criteria; adapting and modifying compliance engineering options; developing and evaluating new compliance methodologies; qualifying vendors, components, and parts.
Education
  • :Candidates with a minimum of 4 to 9 years of experience in Product Compliance and a B.E. or M.E. in Mechanical or Electrical specialization
