Accounts Assistant

My client, based in North Co. Dublin, is the global leader in fresh produce. Operating across 30 countries while serving many more, our vertically integrated, optimised supply chain brings the grower and the consumer ever closer together The Assistant Accountant will join an experienced finance team where teamwork and collaboration are key. This role will support the Financial Controller in providing financial and commercial analysis to key stakeholders in order to meet the business key objectives and plans. Responsibilities Assist with the timely production of monthly management accounts Variance analysis actual versus budget/previous year Calculation of accruals and prepayments Preparation, analysis & posting of journals at month end/year end Maintenance of key schedules such as fixed asset register Ownership of balance sheet reconciliations reconciling balances to trial balance Manage intercompany accounts recharges and reconciliations Assistance with annual audit Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts and key performance indicators for the depot Assist with ad hoc investigations and reports, while ensuring that scheduled reports are produced and circulated in accordance with agreed deadlines Documentation of process and procedures Support and guidance for other departments within finance such as Stock, AR, AP Skills and Experience Part Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent) Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to analyse and present data clearly Ability to work well under pressure to tight deadlines Strong interpersonal, communication, analytical and problem-solving skills Competent in IT, in particular extensive experience with Excel Excellent attention to detail Self-starter with the ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment as required High level of integrity and ethics Salary and benefits Competitive Salary Flexible Hybrid Working Defined Contribution Pension Scheme Tailored Learning & Development For more information on this role or any other Accountancy roles contact Conal O'Connor at Brightwater Recruitment or click on the apply button below To view all live jobs with Brightwater and market insights, please visit our website; Skills: Management Accounts Budgeting Intercompany accounts Forecasting
