Summary

Responsible for plans, designs, and facilities of quality programs. Assumes responsibility for the planning, organization, facilitation of Quality Management Plan and activities within the Group.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties

  • Facilitates development of strategic quality initiatives, goals and objectives. Prepares reports that support executive management for improving clinical and education outcomes. Directs and coordinates the Group Risk Management strategy and activities.
  • Oversees and ensures the implementation of changes needed to meet the Central Board of Accreditation for Healthcare Institutions (CBAHI), Joint Commission International (JCI) and other standards of international accreditation.
  • Coordinates the investigation and conduction of root cause analysis of actual and potential serious/sentinel events within the Group.
  • Assists with auditing of patient services and departmental processes to determine correct clinical results, means of improving patient services and methods for increasing efficiency.
  • Monitors quality improvement programs in the various sections within the Group in conjunction with the departments’ supervisors and Performance Improvement (PI) Coordinators/assigned staff.
  • Consults, facilitates and participates in the Group/Hospital-wide performance improvement activities (e.g., Performance Improvement projects, clinical pathways, best practice, benchmarking and policies and procedures).
  • Participates in the education and training of the Group staff in quality management/performance improvement concepts, principles, and methodologies. Assists in the evaluation of performance improvement class curriculum.
  • Assists in monitoring department’s responses and action plans to high-risk incidents.
  • Prepares and presents quality-related statistical reports as needed or requested.
  • Participates in implementing quality management and quality improvement programs.
  • Participates on committees, task forces and teams as requested.

Education

Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, Quality, or other Healthcare-related discipline is required.

Experience Required

Four (4) years of related experience with Master’s, or six (6) years with Bachelor’s Degree is required.

Other Requirements (Certificates)

  • Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ), Certified Professional in Healthcare is preferred.
  • Risk Management (CPHRM) or other related Healthcare Quality certificate is preferred.
  • Current Registered Nurse Licensure from country of origin and Saudi Commission for Health Specialties Licensure is required.
