Responsibilities:

Collaborate with clients, art directors, or authors to understand the project requirements, visual style, and intended message.
Create original illustrations that align with the project's objectives, following specific guidelines and specifications.
Use traditional or digital art techniques to develop illustrations, including hand-drawing, painting, or digital illustration software.
Interpret written or verbal briefs to visualize concepts, characters, environments, or scenes that effectively convey the intended message.
Research and gather reference materials to enhance the accuracy and authenticity of the illustrations.
Develop sketches, storyboards, or rough drafts to present and receive feedback on the proposed ideas and concepts.
Refine and finalize illustrations based on feedback, incorporating any necessary changes or adjustments.
Collaborate with other artists, designers, or writers to ensure consistency and coherence of visual elements.
Stay updated with industry trends, techniques, and emerging technologies in illustration and digital art.
Meet project deadlines, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and effectively communicate progress and challenges.

Desired Candidate Profile

Requirements:

Proven experience as an Illustrator, demonstrating a strong portfolio of diverse illustration styles and projects.
Proficiency in traditional art techniques, such as drawing, painting, or mixed media, as well as digital illustration software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Procreate).
Strong understanding of composition, color theory, perspective, and other principles of visual storytelling.
Ability to adapt illustration styles and techniques based on the project requirements and target audience.
Creative and imaginative thinking, with the ability to generate unique ideas and concepts.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to create accurate and visually appealing illustrations.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with clients, art directors, and other team members.
Flexibility to incorporate feedback and make revisions to the illustrations as needed.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet project deadlines.
Passion for art, illustration, and storytelling, with a drive to continuously improve and expand artistic skills.
