We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Medical Insurance Coordinator to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for verifying insurance coverage, obtaining pre-authorizations, and processing insurance claims for patients. The Medical Insurance Coordinator will work closely with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers to ensure accurate and timely processing of claims. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential for this role, as the Coordinator will be responsible for explaining benefits to patients, resolving any insurance-related issues, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of insurance policies and regulations. A successful candidate will ensure that patients receive the appropriate coverage for their medical services and assist with any billing inquiries. Responsibilities

Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility for medical services.
Process and submit insurance claims accurately and timely.
Follow up on outstanding insurance claims and denials.
Communicate with insurance companies to resolve claim issues.
Review and update patient insurance information in the system.
Provide information to patients regarding their insurance coverage and benefits.
Assist patients with insurance authorization process for medical procedures.
Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure proper documentation for insurance claims.
Stay current on insurance regulations and guidelines.
Maintain confidentiality of patient and insurance information.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or related field.
Strong understanding of medical terminology and insurance billing procedures.
Experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably in medical insurance coordination.
Proficiency in relevant computer software and database management.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
