Do you consider yourself to have generalist knowledge of BC's occupational health and safety regulations and best practices for reducing workplace injuries, diseases, and fatalities? Are you a champion for the industry on Vancouver Island? Actsafe Safety Association has a mission of preventing workplace injuries, illness and deaths in BC's arts and entertainment industry, is halfway through a five-year strategic plan (2023–2027) and is focused on ensuring our programs and services are world-class and industry-specific, and improve health, safety, and well-being knowledge, attitudes, beliefs and behaviours. As the health and safety association for BC’s Arts and Entertainment industry, we serve all of British Columbia and want to ensure fair and equitable service across the province. We are enhancing our services on Vancouver Island and are looking for a Regional Safety Advisor (Vancouver Island) to be our industry safety “educator and influencer!” We are pleased to start recruitment for this NEW and exciting contractor role charged with delivering occupational health & safety consulting services to employers, supervisors and workers in our regional areas which includes outreach, advising, consulting, developing resources, attending industry events and instructing training. Experience facilitating training is a major plus and knowledge of the performing arts, live events or motion picture industry is vital. This job is remote and located on Vancouver Island, British Columbia.
