  • Work Location: Clonmel, Ireland (possibility of working remotely)
  • Contract type: 11 months fixed-term contract (maternity leave cover)
  • Client: a global healthcare leader dedicated to improving health and well-being worldwide. The compan focuses on innovative medicines, vaccines, and animal health products.
ABOUT THE ROLE One of Ireland’s leading healthcare companies has been established in the country for over 50 years and currently employs over 3,500 people across five manufacturing. In addition, the company operates substantial Human Health and Animal Health businesses. The organization manages multiple payroll groupings for its manufacturing, support, and sales personnel, split by weekly and monthly pay frequencies. Payroll inputs come from locally managed T&A systems (TMS, Clockwise, ARS) as well as a global ERP HR system (Workday). The payroll department works closely with HR on All-Ireland Compensation & Benefit programs, which are supported by several service providers. This role, reporting to the Payroll Manager for Ireland and covering all locations, offers location flexibility, including the option for remote work. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
  1. Collating and preparing all inputs in advance of payroll processing deadlines.
  2. End-to-end payroll processing in a busy environment of both weekly and monthly pay frequencies for multiple assigned entities in compliance with local laws and regulations.
  3. Dealing with all aspects of the payroll process, BIK, share awards, pension and other voluntary and statutory deductions.
  4. Dealing with starter and leavers registrations
  5. Process the monthly PAYE Submissions on ROS
  6. Manage the timely response to employee requests and queries, and escalate when appropriate.
  7. Complete data validation and data analysis from multiple sources, e.g., HR ERP,
  8. T&A, Comp & Benefit providers.
  9. Collaborating closely with all relevant parties, including the EMEA HR Service
  10. Delivery organization, HR Business Partners, and HR Centers of Excellence.
  11. Supporting payroll peers with documentation of payroll systems, process optimization, and continuous improvement.
  12. Participating in projects and working groups.
ABOUT THE CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
  1. Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business or Accounting or another relevant Payroll qualification;
  2. 2+ years of Irish Payroll experience with a strong understanding of payroll processes, tax, and legal frameworks.
  3. Experience in using payroll systems (CoreHR/People XD portal) an advantage.
  4. A high degree of attention to detail
  5. Excellent communication skills
  6. Enthusiastic and confident with a willingness to work within a team environment.
  7. Possess the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality.
  8. A flexible approach to work, ability to multi-task, prioritize and execute within deadlines
  9. Customer Focus ensuring that employees payroll experience remains positive.
  10. Self-starter with proven track record of working on own initiative as well as working with external providers and across organisational boundaries.
