  • Job Summary:
The Project Manager will be responsible for leading and managing multiple furniture-related projects from inception through completion. This role will require strong coordination skills, the ability to work with cross-functional teams, and a deep understanding of both project management and the furniture manufacturing process. The role demands fluency in Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) and will involve working closely with international clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Planning and Coordination:
  • Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, resources, and deliverables.
  • Coordinate and communicate with all project stakeholders (suppliers, manufacturers, internal teams, and clients).
  • Define project scope and objectives, ensuring all stakeholders are aligned.
  • Team Leadership:
  • Lead project teams by providing direction and motivation throughout all stages of the project.
  • Ensure that all project activities are executed efficiently and within scope, time, and budget constraints.
  • Monitor team performance and provide regular feedback to ensure successful project completion.
  • Client Communication:
  • Maintain regular communication with clients (both internal and external) to update them on project status and address any concerns.
  • Provide solutions to challenges, ensuring client satisfaction and resolving any issues that arise.
  • Supplier and Vendor Management:
  • Manage relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, and external contractors.
  • Negotiate terms and contracts with suppliers and vendors, ensuring high-quality standards and timely delivery.
  • Conduct quality checks on the finished products and ensure they meet the required specifications.
  • Cost Management and Budgeting:
  • Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring all expenditures are accounted for and within allocated limits.
  • Approve or suggest adjustments to budgets and costs as required during the project lifecycle.
  • Risk Management:
  • Identify potential risks to project timelines, budgets, and quality.
  • Develop strategies to mitigate risks and ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Quality Assurance and Compliance:
  • Ensure all projects adhere to relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and quality controls.
  • Conduct quality assurance checks throughout the project and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Reporting and Documentation:
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for all projects, ensuring all deliverables are clearly defined and met.
  • Prepare and present regular project reports to senior management, including project status, progress, and any issues requiring attention.
  • Requirements:
  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Project Management, Industrial Design, or related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in project management within the furniture or manufacturing industry.
  • Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience in managing projects that involve international stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Skills:
  • Fluency in Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is required, both spoken and written.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, etc.).
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Flexible to travel for business anywhere.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and project management software (e.g., MS Project, Asana, or similar tools).
  • Preferred:
  • Knowledge of the furniture industry’s production processes and materials.
  • Previous experience working with Chinese manufacturers or suppliers.
  • Working Conditions:
  • Full-time position with occasional travel to factories, suppliers, or client locations.
  • Collaborative work environment with cross-departmental involvement.
Pay: AED7,000.00 - AED10,000.00 per month Ability to commute/relocate:
  • Dubai International City: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
