We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accountant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and examining financial records, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, and providing financial insights to support business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  2. Accounting and Bookkeeping: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, prepare journal entries, and perform account analysis.
  3. Auditing and Compliance: Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies.
  4. Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and provide insights to support business decisions.
  5. Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts, and monitor actual performance against these targets.
  6. Taxation: Prepare and submit tax returns, and ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
  7. Financial Reporting: Prepare and submit financial reports to management, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
  8. Accounting System Maintenance: Maintain and update accounting systems, including software and hardware.
  9. Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, such as finance, operations, and management, to achieve business objectives.

Requirements:

  1. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field. Professional certifications, such as CPA or CMA, are preferred.
  2. Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a similar industry (Oil & Gas).
  3. Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, laws, and regulations.
    • Proficient in accounting software, such as QuickBooks or SAP.
    • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  4. Personal Attributes:
    • High level of integrity and professionalism.
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
