The Translator - Chinese will be responsible for translating written materials from English to Chinese and vice versa. The role requires a fluent speaker and writer of both languages with excellent attention to detail. The Translator - Chinese will collaborate with various stakeholders, such as project managers and content creators, to ensure accurate and culturally appropriate translations. Responsibilities
- Translate written materials from English to Chinese and vice versa, including documents, emails, and marketing materials.
- Ensure the accuracy and consistency of translations.
- Adapt translations to maintain the tone and style of the original content.
- Conduct research to ensure the use of appropriate terminology.
- Proofread translated materials to identify and correct errors.
- Collaborate with project managers and content creators to understand translation requirements.
- Manage translation projects and meet deadlines.
- Provide linguistic support during meetings and conference calls.
- Maintain translation memory and glossaries to ensure consistency.
- Stay informed about language and cultural developments.
- Fluency in both English and Chinese, both spoken and written.
- Proven experience as a translator or in a similar role.
