Senior software engineer

The Role We are looking for Full Stack Software Engineers of all levels of experience (mid to senior) to help us build a globally scalable betting platform. We have a distributed, event-driven architecture that targets high platform throughput and scalability. Our Technology team is one of the most collaborative and functional, developing in domain-specific project teams with some of the best-in-class technologies. Our Playbook team works directly with the traders and market makers on the trading floor, delivering critical internal products for the business to operate a successful sports betting application. This role is predominantly focused on engineering in Typescript, with Java Script frameworks React and Node. JS and a great understanding of microservices and Backend for Front End (BFF) architecture. What You Will Do Follow a flow-based development approach where you will be responsible for developing entire flows from services to APIs to UI. Work in a cross-functional, product-focused Agile environment. Collaborate with other developers to engineer solutions for challenging problems. Contribute to code reviews and engineering excellence. Create highly performant UI components and APIs adhering to given specifications. Essential Skills Strong Java Script fundamentals (ES6+). High proficiency in React and Node development using Type Script (recent versions). Strong engineering principles and best practices (error handling, test pyramid, deployment, Io C, and design patterns). Excellent communication, teamwork, and collaboration skills. Preferred Skills No SQL databases (Couchbase, Elasticsearch). Solid understanding of DB principles and any of the DB query languages (SQL, No SQL, Elastic). Event-driven architecture (Kafka or any relevant software). Modern React libraries (such as React Query, Zustand). Unit testing (React Testing Library, Jest) and integration testing (Cypress). CI/CD pipeline experience (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Jenkins, or any other tools such as Git Lab). Experience with Playwright for automation.
