Job Offer: Executive Director of Sales and Strategic Development Location: Based in Bois-des-Filion, QC, with opportunities for remote work Division: Fiberwood – Wood Composite Construction Products Job Type: Full-time Company Description: A1 Imports is a Canadian leader in the import and distribution of a variety of products. Our Fiberwood division specializes in wood composite construction products such as exterior and interior cladding, decking, fencing, and sheds. We work with regional and national distributors as well as retailers across Canada. We are seeking an Executive Director of Sales and Strategic Development to lead our sales team, strengthen the cohesion of our activities, and optimize our commercial strategies. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Sales Management:
- Supervise the sales team, including Sales Representatives, Sales Agents, and the Sales Director(s).
- Continue growing the sales force with strategic hires.
- Provide rigorous oversight and follow-up of sales activities.
- Implement performance indicators (KPIs) and monitor results.
- Analyze sales reports and develop and execute action plans to achieve and exceed established objectives.
- Support the sales team in meetings with key clients.
- Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities in the Canadian market.
- Strengthen relationships with distributors and retailers.
- Collaborate with strategic partners to accelerate growth.
- Manage corporate sales with hardware chains and buying groups.
- Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for our products.
- Analyze market trends and competition to adjust action plans.
- Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, operations) to ensure coherence in initiatives.
- Participate in various sales trade shows across the country.
- Inspire and motivate the team to achieve and exceed commercial objectives.
- Promote a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in sales management, business development, or commercial strategy, ideally in the construction products sector or related fields.
- Experience managing multi-regional teams is an asset.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to develop effective and results-oriented commercial strategies.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Excellent analytical skills to understand the market and customer needs.
- Proficiency in Office Suite and presentation tools such as Office and/or Canvas.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, or a related field. A Master’s degree is an asset.
