Our client, a newly established company under a well-known and respected construction group in North Vancouver, BC, specializes in Foundations, Ground Improvement, and Shoring. They are seeking a Senior Project Manager to oversee ground improvement land piling projects and contribute to the success of their growing team. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead daily operations of ground improvement projects, focusing on quality, safety, and timely delivery.
  • Develop and monitor construction schedules, ensuring project adherence to timelines.
  • Prepare and negotiate contracts, handling revisions and changes.
  • Collaborate with subcontractors and vendors to meet deadlines and manage schedules.
  • Maintain job cost estimates, profit forecasts, and support accounting functions.
  • Act as a liaison with clients, assisting in business development and efficient resource deployment.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff and handle field assignments as required.
  • Uphold Health, Safety & Environmental standards.
Ideal Candidate Requirements:
  • University degree or diploma in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering.
  • Registration with APEGBC or ASTTBC, or eligibility for registration.
  • Minimum 5 years of project management experience, with expertise in geotechnical engineering.
  • Proficiency in ground improvement techniques, foundations, earth-retaining structures, and driven piles.
  • Strong contract management, scheduling, and financial management experience.
  • Familiarity with obtaining government approvals and industry standards.
  • Excellent project management, communication, and time management skills.
