Job Details JOB SUMMARY: The Programme Director, Product Line, is responsible for project management of core Product Line activities. This includes project management of Internal Research and Development (IRAD) projects and Product Manager for Exercise Control (EXCON) software. The role will also support the Product Line team by acting as the key interface to Cubic Operations, Support & Maintenance (OS&M) service programmes. The role will work closely with the Product Line Chief Engineer to help guide the operations and support of product line equipment. Essential Duties And Responsibilities Project Manager for IRAD programs. Project Manage other Product Line activities as assigned by VP, Product Line. Responsible for coordinating CDNZ R&D tax incentives (including RDTI) with the NZ IRD. Product Manager (Product Line) for Enterprise EXCON including CATS, Exonaut, EMU, Data Analytics, and other key EXCON software applications (internal and 3rd Party). Note1: Product Manager is responsible for Enterprise EXCON Product Roadmap which identifies and prioritises new features and capabilities. Note2: Product Manager will support the development of global commercial strategies for Enterprise EXCON software (for alignment and cost management purposes). Note3: Data Analytics includes AI/LLM/ML. Support CDAus Dev-X activities. Develop and execute the obsolescence management strategy for CDNZ derived Ground Training Products. Coordinate Ground Product Line Working Groups and Sprints on behalf of VP Ground Product Line. Facilitate ground training knowledge sharing across Global Training programmes, for designated bodies of knowledge (e.g. Data Analytics, UAS Enabled Training Operations, CTC Training Operation and Support, etc). Capture key customer future training service requirements and synthesise to identify the common and unique requirements to inform future service capability offerings. Coordinate with the Ground Training Chief Engineer to improve the deployment and operation of future product line technologies. As a senior Cubic leader, support the General Manager, CDAus/CDNZ with general local company activities by participating in All Hands, supporting VIP and customer visits and briefings, local reporting where applicable, participating in local management meetings, and following local site direction in terms of policies and procedures. General Duties And Responsibilities Follow Cubic project management processes and policies. Follow Cubic processes and policies as per the Cubic QMS. Background And Experience Minimum 10 years’ experience in delivering projects, including complex development or defence service programmes. Minimum 10 years’ customer experience (Army) in a combat role/category. Proficient in MS Office applications including a working knowledge of Experience using Microsoft Project, Microsoft Power Point, Oracle Primavera P6 Scheduling Tool. Proven ability to manage multiple, high value projects at one time, including associated project teams. University degree or equivalent in Project Management, Information Systems and Technology Management, Computer Science or other relevant discipline. A recognized Project Management certification. Condition Of Employment Role requires ability to hold an Australian / New Zealand / US / UK SECRET level security clearance. National Police records check. Position can be located in either Australia or New Zealand but must recognise the need for regular global travel in support of the product line. As a global company, our business operations span multiple time zones. This role requires flexibility, including occasional availability outside of your ordinary working hours to respond to critical issues or business needs. This means you may be required to monitor and/or respond to telephone calls, emails and other necessary communications from Cubic and our customers or suppliers outside of your hours of work from time to time.
