Estate Litigation Associate

We are a growing estate litigation law firm located in Toronto. We are looking for a estate litigation lawyer with, ideally, 2+ years experience in wills & estates law (we may consider slightly less if your experience is substantial). Strong litigation and estate law experience is a must. Candidate must have substantial knowledge of the Rules of Civil Procedure. We require someone willing and prepared to take on work while working under the management of our senior estate lawyer. Your responsibilities would include:
- Maintaining and moving forward files under supervision;
- Appearances in Superior court of Justice;
- Meeting with clients to perform tasks related to moving matters forward;
- Taking on files; and
- Attending at court in Toronto, Brampton, Oshawa, and beyond if required.
- Good knowledge of the Rules of Civil Procedure as it relates to estate litigation;
- Good oral and written advocacy skills;
- Collegial attitude towards clients;
- A desire to build an estate litigation practice with unlimited earning potential and business possibility;
- Lawyer in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario;
- Good time management and organizational skills;
- excellent judgment and decision making skills;
- A willingness to travel if needed;
