Director of Construction

Job Title: Director of Construction Company: Multifamily Developer Location: Calgary, Alberta Hays is currently working with an up and coming multifamily developer who are looking to expand into Calgary. They are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Construction to lead their construction team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing multifamily construction projects, particularly in wood frame builds. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent leadership skills and a deep understanding of construction processes and regulations. Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of construction projects from planning to completion.
• Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
• Develop and implement construction strategies, policies, and procedures.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project success.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources effectively.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and building codes.
• Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during construction.

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction management, with a focus on multifamily projects.
• Extensive experience with 4-6 storey wood frame construction.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in construction management software and tools.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
