POSTION: Service Shift Manager LOCATION : Shaunavon SALARY : $100 000 -$120 000***Candidates must be legally entitled to work in Canada. To fulfill the vision of GROWING, CONNECTING AND EVOLVING we are looking for a Service Shift Manager to join our fast-paced, energetic, dealership in Shaunavon, SK. This role manages, coordinates, and directs the workload of the Service Department with a high focus on quality of work, effective communication, and Customer Satisfaction. Responsibilities This individual’s responsibilities include:
- Assign/schedule internal/customer/warranty jobs for service employees based on their skills/knowledge and provide feedback.
- Work with Service Business Manager on new hire orientation, provide mentorship for new technicians.
- Optimize shop efficiency and flow to avoid lost billable hours.
- Ensure effective communication and follow up on repair status and issues.
- Work with manager to identify/execute continuous process improvements, training opportunities and provide back up in their absence and during peak seasons.
- Direct/assist in diagnosis/troubleshooting of machine problems with technicians and apprentices.
- Perform final checks/approvals on equipment before start of work order.
- Provide excellent customer service consistently above standards; maintain customer relations and respond to inquiries/needs.
- Assist Service Advisor in providing quotes on repairs for internal/external customers, and accurate records of work orders.
- Build/maintain constructive co-worker relations and foster strong team communications/dynamics.
- Assist/conduct safety meetings, encourage safe working habits.
- Ability to operate vehicles/equipment used for diagnostic purposes.
- Ability to lift at least 40 lbs repeatedly; 40-75 lbs on occasion.
- Ability to work flexible hours, varying shifts, weekends, and holidays
- Valid driver’s license required
- 5+ years performing complex service repairs/maintenance
- Ag Equipment Tech (JDTECH) Journeyperson Certification/equivalent
- Expert knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems used in the repair of ag/turf equipment
- Ability to use current business systems, working knowledge of computer functions and use.
