The Payroll Administrator supports all aspects of the company payrolls for union, non-union, hourly, and salaried employees. Additionally, the incumbent will prepare and submit various month-end journal entries/reconciliations within the deadlines provided by the Finance Team. As a key team member, you will ensure all reporting government requirements. Location: Remote Schedule: Mon-Fri, 40 hours What you will do
- Provide payroll services through the preparation and processing of weekly payroll for both hourly and salaried employees
- Review payroll transactions entered into the system including new hires, terminations, and preparation of ROEs
- Ensure time system has accurately captured hourly employee's times and bring data over to payroll
- Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, taxable benefits and reporting requirements
- Complete statistical and employee earnings information
- Administer and balance remittances to various agencies and vendors
- Review information submitted from branch offices for reasonableness. Obtain documented authorization where applicable.
- Ensuring databases are set up and reflect the current employee base, including salaries, hourly wages, benefits and pension percentages
- Maintain accurate and current confidential employee files.
- Other duties as required.
- Minimum 3 years in full payroll cycle payroll experience
- Completion of PCP
- Experience with UKG would be considered an asset
- Experience dealing with sensitive and confidential information
- Experience in a Federally regulated unionized environment an asset in Ontario and Quebec
