As we continue our rapid expansion (including a new U.S. office in 2025), we’re looking for a Digital Communications Specialist to join our team. This is a remote, full-time, 14-month contract covering a parental leave , with the potential for extension and long-term growth. Overview: The Digital Communications Specialist at The MicDrop Agency will join a dynamic team committed to amplifying the companies and people on our growing client roster. As a Digital Communications Specialist, you will be responsible for leading the content strategy and execution for multiple client projects. The right candidate must utilize a wide range of skills including: copywriting, editing, project management and goal-setting. This is a full-time remote contract position and business hours are 9am-5pm Monday-Friday. On occasion, some client projects will require work on evenings or weekends. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong copywriting skills who is interested in not only working as a copywriter, but also contributing to a number of strategic marketing and content creation projects. Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Create digital content strategies for multiple clients in a wide range of sectors including tech, business and entertainment
- Design and manage detailed content marketing calendars for multiple clients
- Write a wide range of content, including blog posts, case studies, white papers, newsletters, social media posts and more
- Meet with clients regularly to determine relevant content ideas and present content strategies for their review and approval
- Watch and listen to interviews featuring our clients and identify strong soundbites to be clipped and used in future content posts
- Edit video clips and audio soundbites to be used in Reels, TikToks and other social media videos
- Optimize websites, blogs and social media pages to be SEO-friendly
- Develop creative ways to repurpose content across a variety of channels
- Collaborate closely with our graphic designers on high-level concepts and final executions
- Provide client support as needed
- Track hours and expenses
- A degree or diploma in communications, journalism, marketing, business or similar background
- 3-5 years of directly related content creation and copywriting experience
- A strategic thinker who can develop and leverage research to build effective marketing communications strategies to connect and build relationships with key audiences.
- Exceptional grammar, spelling, sentence structuring and editing skills
- Excellent communication skills as this is a client-facing role
- Practical knowledge of best practices in design, social media, content marketing, copywriting and SEO
- Great listening skills and a willingness to learn and progress through feedback
- A “scrappy mindset”—someone who is not afraid to “roll up their sleeves” and “do the work”
- A resourceful, dedicated and committed leader who always delivers above expectations
- A highly detail-oriented individual with superb organizational skills
- A problem-solver who operates well under pressure and deadlines
- High level of proficiency in Google Workspace applications (Google Drive, Google Calendar, Google Docs, Google Sheets etc.)
- Experience with web development tools such as WordPress and Squarespace is considered an asset
- Salary: $65,000–$80,000, commensurate with experience
