Department & Function: Marketing Position: Deputy Director Marketing - Brands & Media Location: Islamabad Job Type: Permanent Job Purpose: The Deputy Director Marketing - Brands & Media is a strategic leadership position responsible for managing and enhancing brand equity, ensuring effective media planning and buying (both digital and traditional), and executing impactful out-of-home activations (BTL activities) . This role demands a visionary leader capable of linking brand strategy with organizational goals, while driving innovative marketing initiatives to establish and sustain Zong as a distinguished digital operator in Pakistan. Job Responsibilities: Brands Management:
- Drive demand generation for products, offers, and services through cohesive communication across all touchpoints.
- Align brand strategy with Zong’s commercial objectives to position it as a leader in Pakistan’s digital transformation.
- Establish Zong’s brand as extraordinary in the industry, leveraging its connection with China Mobile.
- Oversee all product communication (Digital, TV, Radio, Print, POS), ensuring alignment with business objectives and quality standards through pre-launch assessments and post-launch evaluations.
- Manage relationships with advertising agencies, conducting quarterly performance evaluations to ensure top-tier industry standards.
- Strengthen brand equity for Zong across all customer touchpoints.
- Provide leadership and guidance to teams managing branding, media, and marketing operations.
- Develop effective media strategies aligned with long-term brand objectives.
- Propose, manage, and evaluate Zong’s thematic and tactical media plans.
- Ensure efficient and innovative presence across all media channels, including Digital Platforms, TV, Radio and cable networks.
- Negotiate and acquire media properties at the best possible rates.
- Monitor and reconcile planned versus actual airtime, ensuring accuracy and transparency.
- Provide strategic and tactical recommendations to product teams and senior management regarding marketing communication and media touchpoints.
- Lead presentations to senior management for review, feedback, and approvals.
- Oversee OOH media planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting, ensuring compliance with KPIs.
- Manage vendor and agency contracts related to OOH and activation activities.
- Plan and execute brand activations, ensuring impactful and timely delivery.
- Evaluate, plan, and manage sponsorships and events, monitoring their impact and reporting results.
- Support segment & products teams with operational marketing tasks to ensure seamless execution.
- Minimum of Bachelors degree with rich experience in Marketing especially in Brands Management, Digital & Traditional Media planning and Out of Home.
- Minimum Experience: 8 yrs. or Above
