Volunteer Lifoboat Operations Manager

Company Description RNLI, the Royal National Lifeboat Institution, is a charity dedicated to saving lives at sea with volunteers making up 95% of the workforce. With a history dating back to 1824, RNLI provides search and rescue services from 238 lifeboat stations across the UK and Republic of Ireland, including beach safety and flood rescue operations. Role Description This is a volunteer role for a Lifeboat Operations Manager at RNLI. The role is hybrid, primarily located in Athlone with some flexibility for remote work. The Lifeboat Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of lifeboat stations, ensuring safety protocols are met, and coordinating volunteer efforts. Qualifications

1. Experience in maritime operations or emergency response - Desirable
2. Strong leadership and organizational skills
3. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
4. Ability to work effectively in a volunteer-based environment
5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite - Desirable
6. First Aid and CPR certification is a plus
7. Experience with boat handling or navigation is beneficial
