Primary job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Understanding the wider core business ensuring best fit for purpose IT infrastructure, systems, and processes, recommending and delivering pragmatic, value-based solutions. Asset Management including sourcing, procurement, and license management of global IT assets i.e. hardware, software, professional services, business systems, and vendors. Development and implementation of IT asset management model, to capture all IT assets leading to development of global IT asset management and procurement strategies. Development and maintenance of asset records, lifecycle management, inventory management, and financial reporting for both hardware and software located globally. Sourcing and procurement including deployment of software licensing and management to suit end-user profiles. Working knowledge of financial budgets, allocation, and cost optimisation, continuously seeking value procurement and purchasing to ensure supply chain reliability. Sourcing of appropriate vendors to meet business needs locally and globally including market testing wherever possible during the procurement and purchasing process. Must be familiar with developing Tenders, including calling, managing, analysis, negotiating, and interviews. Conduct annual vendor performance reviews in conjunction with the IT Ops Manager to raise performance standards wherever necessary or required. Integrated into the IT department to develop a deep understanding of operations, hardware functionality, and end-user demands respective to software functionality. Manage relationships with vendors and negotiate contracts for IT services. Stay current with the latest technologies and issues in IT management, including regulatory changes, advancements in technology, and trends. Candidates should ideally possess the following: Strong knowledge of IT asset management including sourcing, procurement, and vendor management associated with infrastructure hardware and software. Minimum 5 years proven experience as an IT Asset and Procurement Manager. Skilled communicator both verbal and written, able to comprehend technical requirements into procurement documentation, manage timely purchasing and deployment, excellent negotiator constantly seeking to deliver optimised value and returns. Resourceful, proactive, a good problem-solver with strong attention to detail, meticulous record keeping and assertive in managing internal and external facing clients, e.g. end-users and vendors. Demonstrated familiarity and use of recognised IT asset management software e.g. Kaseya, Manage Engine, etc. Good inventory management skills and capabilities with an inherent feel of product and services price points. Comfortable with developing analytical reports, leading to yearly IT financial budgets. Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
