What the role is: As a member of the Biology Division of the Applied Sciences Group, you will play a critical role in routine casework examinations in our laboratory and/or supporting ongoing research projects. What you will be working on: Examination and DNA profiling on crime evidence. Participating in lab improvement/research projects, and assisting in developing/validating new technologies/methods. Supporting laboratory administrative duties such as equipment maintenance, inventory management, procurement of consumables, and preparation of laboratory reagents/supplies. Adhering to stringent quality control and quality assurance protocols, and assisting in laboratory quality assurance duties such as checking for expiry dates and conducting basic performance checking tests. What we are looking for: Background in Biology/Biomedical Science/Biotechnology (or equivalent) is a must. Successfully completed supervised laboratory research in a project in the biochemistry or molecular biology area. Detail‐oriented, organized, and able to multitask. Collaborative team player with the capability to work independently, showcasing a proactive approach.
