Position Summary: To coordinate, physically inspect and fix problems for smooth running of the Network operation. This includes coordinating projects, maintaining network hardware and peripherals. The person will initially diagnose and report to network management about the network issues & their resolution. He will also coordinate with external parties for resolution of Network problems as required. Keep Inventory and Stock list updated. Major Responsibilities & Duties performed:

  • Respond to emergency network outages in accordance with business continuity at First Escalation Level.
  • Support and coordinate networking projects and new technology installations.
  • Coordinate installations in ISPC along with Service Provider to ensure smooth project completion.
  • Initial troubleshooting of Fiber Optics, UTP Cables, Wireless as a first line of action. Opening Support Tickets with Contractor for cases which need special equipment and expertise.
  • Create and update network diagrams for ISPC Dammam plants.
  • In addition to the responsibilities mentioned above, all other network, Avaya IT Telephony and CCTV network related activities will be included as directed by the IT Management.
  • Plan for maintenance of network equipment for ISPC Dammam plants.
  • Keep the stock list updated in SAP for all available network devices in stock and update his supervisor for new stock requirements (for operational usage).
SolarWinds Network Monitoring software administration and take action when any Network alerts are generated.
  • This position requires availability round the clock to resolve network issues that affect business.
  • To understand and follow the organizational HS&E policies.
  • To follow safety instructions related to their jobs.
  • To report damaged PPE, unsafe machines or equipment to concerned staff.
  • To keep the provided PPEs in good, workable conditions.
  • To avoid any horseplay and abuse of safety devices, equipment and welfare facilities.
  • To report any accidents, near misses or hazardous conditions to the concerned responsible.
  • To attend safety training planned for them.
  • Having a right to say "NO" to any unsafe work.
Other Responsibilities:
  • Perform test installations of monitoring tools in coordination with his supervisor.
  • Communicate transparently to higher management on operational issues.
Supervision: None Work Contacts: IT Manager, Network Team, Telephony Team, System Team, Application Team, Support Team, End Users and external vendors (as per instructions of his supervisor). Competencies:
  • Good level of know-how in Network support, with 1 to 3 years’ experience preferred.
  • Good understanding of Cisco switches, wireless devices, Network Topology and Routing Protocols.
  • Basic understanding of documenting procedures and maintaining Inventory and Stock.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, written, and verbal communication skills in English & Arabic.
  • This position requires availability round the clock to resolve network issues that affect business.
Authority: Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Computer Sciences (Networking, Electronics and Communications) or Equivalent.
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Certified preferable.
  • Very good knowledge of English – Oral and written.
