The organization is a flagship gigaproject under Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 initiative, aiming to create a world-class entertainment, cultural and lifestyle destination. As a multibillion-dollar project, it will encompass vast infrastructure development, hospitality, retail and service sectors, which requires effective and large scale management of supplier relationships and supply chain risks. The Director - SRM & SCR is responsible for managing the org's supplier relationships and supply chain risks. This comprises onboarding suppliers, ensuring complete and up-to-date documentation, acting as the org's point-of-contact to the suppliers, providing internal stakeholders with intelligence available on registered suppliers, and tracking supplier performance metrics across all projects within the org. The role also includes managing supply chain risks, which comprises identifying key risks across the supply chain for all procurement categories within the org, and driving initiatives to mitigate the risks.

  • Supplier Relationship Management:
  • Implement effective onboarding of suppliers onto the org's SRM platform, following the required processes, documentation and ensuring supplier satisfaction.
  • Strategize the org's liaison activities with suppliers, for sharing required resources, obtaining updated documentation, and providing suppliers orientation on using the SRM platform
  • Strategize and implement interaction models with suppliers according to the size and nature of their partnership with the org
  • Steward supplier information for the org and support business teams with supplier information as required
  • Supplier Performance Metrics Oversight:
  • Establish supplier performance processes, defining key performance indicators (KPIs), such as quality, timelines, and cost efficiency
  • Define action plans for suppliers based on performance reports generated from supplier data
  • Lead regular performance reviews and audits to ensure compliance with contracts and agreed standards
  • Supply Chain Risk Management:
  • Establish and steward a Supply Chain Risk Management strategy for the org, including risk assessment, mitigation and contingency activities
  • Lead monitoring of external risk factors to anticipate supply chain risks
  • Team Management, Learning & Development
  • Lead the Team Management agenda for the SRM & SCR Team, including hiring, team vision, learning & development, performance and morale
  • Oversee and support junior team members, ensuring professional growth through mentorship and annual performance appraisals
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the SRM & SCR Team
  • Conduct awareness and support sessions for the business teams to effectively leverage the SRM platform
Requirements
  • 15+ years of experience in Supplier Relationship Management & Supply Chain roles, ideally in large-scale projects such as construction, real estate, or urban development
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Law, Finance, Business, or related fields. MBA and/or other advanced degrees preferred
  • Preferred: Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM)
  • Experience with KSA regulatory requirements and familiarity with Vision 2030 goals is highly desirable
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and address risks effectively
  • Proven track record of working in cross-collaborative environments and ensuring differing goals and needs align with overarching organizational strategy
  • Fluency in English is required, with proficiency in Arabic highly desirable
  • Understanding of the local cultural and business landscape in Saudi Arabia through work experience in the region preferred
