Packing Carpenter Job Description

Vital Responsibilities And Obligations:

1. Capacity to construct and secure materials to make framework and wood containers.
2. Build or fix cabinets, doors, structures, floors, and other wooden components used in buildings, using woodworking equipment, carpenter's hand tools, and power tools.
3. Erect scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures over ground levels.
4. Shape or cut materials to defined measurements, using hand tools, devices, or power saws.
5. Follow established safety rules and regulations while maintaining a safe and clean environment.
6. Remove damaged or defective components or sections of frameworks and repair or replace them using hand tools.
7. Inspect ceiling or flooring tile, wall treatments, siding, glass, or woodwork to identify damaged or broken frameworks.
8. Move needed materials around the job site as assigned.
9. Clean up worksite debris.

Skills:

1. Efficient in obtaining and adhering to instructions and communicating with co-workers.
2. Able to read and follow labels, safety warnings, and standards.
3. Conscientious to detail and always alert to ensure safety.

Qualifications:

1. Secondary school diploma is an asset.
2. 4 years of experience in industrial or domestic woodworking.
3. Ability to understand schematic layouts, plans, sketches, work plans, and other requirements.
4. Strong working knowledge of job site safety along with the ability to complete a company-specific safety orientation.
