We have an urgent requirement for a BIG DATA Analytics Specialist for one of our clients in Dubai, UAE. Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled Big Data Analytics Specialist to lead the design, development, and implementation of big data solutions. As a key member of our technology team, you will be responsible for architecting, designing, and implementing scalable, high-performance big data solutions leveraging the Cloudera platform. Responsibilities:

Architecture Design: Design and develop robust, scalable, and secure big data architectures using big data suite including Hadoop, Spark, ICEBERG, and others.
Data Engineering: Lead the design and implementation of data ingestion, transformation, and storage pipelines using tools like Kafka, Airbyte, and dbt core.
Data Modelling: Create efficient data models and schemas to optimize data storage and retrieval.
Performance Optimization: Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations to improve query response times and overall system efficiency.
Security: Ensure data security and privacy by implementing appropriate security measures and adhering to industry best practices.
Team Leadership: Mentor and guide team members on big data technologies, best practices, and problem-solving techniques.
Collaboration: Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Innovation: Stay up to date with the latest trends and technologies in the big data ecosystem and explore opportunities to leverage them for business advantage.

Qualifications:

Strong understanding of big data concepts, including ICEBERG, Apache Spark, and Apache Kafka.
Hands-on experience with Cloudera's distribution of Hadoop (CDH) or Cloudera Data Platform (CDP).
Experience in designing, planning, and delivering sustainable solutions using modern programming languages including Python.
Experience with data warehousing and data lake solutions.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Delivering high-quality code, focusing on simplicity, performance, maintainability, and scalability.
Practical experience in applying an agile way of working and in applying DevOps methodologies.
Excellent analytical and conceptual skills to understand complex technology stacks and their dependencies.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Dremio and dbt Core is considered a significant advantage.
Familiarity with Data Integration Tools: Experience with Apache Airbyte, Kafka, Spark, and Airflow is essential.
API Management Skills: Hands-on experience with API management technologies, such as Software AG and ArcGIS, is required.
Knowledge of machine learning and artificial intelligence techniques.
