A Director of Sales oversees the hotel's sales and marketing strategies by recommending growth initiatives, monitoring progress, and ensuring the hotel is competitively positioned in its local market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement sales plans to accurately interpret and support business objectives.
- Collaborate with Senior Management to identify areas requiring additional support and drive focused activities.
- Create company contracts based on current business conditions.
- Monitor offers, options, and discounts for repeat bookings.
- Lead and develop a high-performing sales team through leadership, coaching, and example.
- Direct forecasting processes and compile reports on Sales Department operations.
- Participate in annual Sales and Market Plan development and quarterly updates.
- Implement sales and marketing initiatives, monitor their effectiveness, and adjust strategies as needed.
- Organize information about products and services offered by the hotel and deliver it through relevant channels.
- Produce timely and accurate reports meeting hotel and management company needs.
