A Bit About Us AlGooru is an innovative educational platform that was established in 2018 and based in Saudi Arabia, offering a unique approach to learning. In 2023, AlGooru was recognized as the first and the only certified online tutoring platform in Saudi Arabia, which serves as a testament to our rigorous standards in tutor selection and educational offerings. We are relentlessly paving the way for students with personalized, long-term learning solutions, focusing on 20 key subjects, and connecting students with top online and in-person tutors to ensure impactful and transformative education. We are currently seeking a qualified Primary/Lower Secondary Teacher to teach on-site in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The position requires the tutor to travel to Jeddah for four months each year to deliver sessions to the same students. This is a full-time role offering excellent perks.

Main Responsibilities as a Tutor:

  • Deliver on-site sessions to students in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
  • Plan, deliver, and assess individualized lessons for upper primary-aged students, ensuring alignment with the appropriate curriculum (Cambridge / Pearson Edexcel).
  • Provide one-to-one teaching to improve core skills in literacy, numeracy, science, and other foundational subjects.
  • Deliver engaging instruction to students using diverse teaching methods aimed to accommodate different learning styles.
  • Address student questions, concerns, or difficulties that students may have and offer an encouraging and supportive learning environment.
  • Monitor student progress and ensure they're making steady improvements by administering assessments or assignments to evaluate their performance and identify areas for further development.
  • Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of each student.
  • Offer guidance and motivation to help students stay focused, engaged, and motivated throughout their learning journey.
  • Maintain professionalism during the interaction with students and ensure confidentiality of student information.
  • Actively participate and engage in workshops, PDs, and sharing knowledge and insights.
  • Be extra organized.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
  • Specialized in Primary/Lower Secondary Education.
  • A teaching diploma or certificate from a recognized educational institution is a must (e.g., QTS).
  • 2-3 years of teaching experience in international schools or universities.
  • Familiar with national and international curricula.
  • Proficient in English.
  • Tech-savvy and able to integrate technology into your teaching lessons.
  • Passion for teaching and fostering student success.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Available to start immediately.
