We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and professional Office Runner / Driver to join our team in Dubai to support the smooth operations of our office. The ideal candidate will take pride in ensuring a clean, organized, and efficient workplace while providing high-quality assistance to staff and visitors.
Responsibilities
- Opening the office in the mornings, and preparing it for the day.
- Checking that windows and doors are securely closed at night.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in office areas, meeting rooms, and pantry, as well as clean and maintain any external areas.
- Monitor and assist the external cleaner, ensuring clean and sanitized restrooms, kitchens, and common areas, in order to meet the highest hygiene standards.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust all designated areas, as well as clean windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces to a streak-free finish.
- Handle and operate cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, vacuum cleaners, and pressure washers safely.
- Remove trash and recyclables, replacing liners as needed.
- Handle and move objects, installing, positioning, moving materials and objects when required. This includes lifting items and or furniture, taking into consideration health and safety protocols in place.
- Prepare the conference rooms prior to any meetings and ensuring the conference rooms are in a state of readiness at all times.
- Assist in setting up entertainment areas for various company events and gatherings.
- Assist the receptionist, office manager and all teams across the business, as and when they require.
- Prepare and serve tea, coffee, and refreshments to staff and guests, as well as clearing up after as required.
- Assist with the collection, distribution, and delivery of mail, documents, and packages within the office and to external locations. Including handling urgent errands, whether it's delivering documents to clients, collecting supplies, or bringing lunch for a team meeting.
- Keep track of office supplies and ensure stock levels are adequate. Notify the manager when stock needs to be replenished.
- Help with packing, assembling, or disassembling items as needed.
- Assist in loading and unloading items, ensuring proper handling to avoid damage.
- Drive VIP Guests and CEO to meetings as required. You will find the best route for time-sensitive tasks / trips. Efficient navigation of the city ensures operations will not get delayed.
- Transport team members, goods, or equipment as required.
- Ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods or passengers.
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with passengers or clients, fostering a sense of comfort and security.
- Navigate routes accurately using GPS systems, ensuring the smooth and timely arrival at destinations.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform basic maintenance checks (tyre pressure, water, oil and fuel levels etc).
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Sustain a good working relationship with Marina Security to ensure the smooth arrival of guests and visitors.
- Monitor the office premises, effectively deal with any irregular activity and report where necessary.
Required skills and qualifications
- Valid Clean UAE driving license.
- Spotless criminal record (no felonies, misdemeanours or arrests).
- Clean Motor Vehicle report with no DUI’s or license suspension.
- Proficiency in operating a smart phone and GPS navigation.
- At least 2 years experience in driving passengers in the UAE.
- Good command and understanding of the English Language.
- Preferably previous office assistant/driver experience.
- Should be sincere, trustworthy and reliable.
- Smart presentation with good personal hygiene.
- Ability to use own initiative.
- Excellent time management skills to ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
