We are a Lamar Jewellery FZ-LLC and manufacturing company located in Dubai Production City, looking for a Jewellery experienced CAD Designer. Job Purpose: A CAD Designer, short for Computer-Aided Designer, is a professional responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and plans using computer software and for developing the 3D designs for the firm's upcoming jewellery collections. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work with sales and production team members to establish a timeline and budget for the design.
- Use design software (Rhino/Matrix) to produce 2D and/or 3D designs, depending on the complexity of the project.
- Research to identify the best materials for CAM & sample modelling.
- Notify the production manager of the design's progress and when the designs are complete.
- Get feedback from clients and respective stakeholders and revise designs as needed.
- Create high-end unique and exclusive traditional and contemporary designs.
- Quickly understand the needs of buyers and create customized designs.
- Create technical drawings: Develop detailed 2D and 3D drawings, schematics, and models using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA) based on project requirements and specifications.
- Drafting and design: Collaborate with engineers, architects, or project managers to interpret concepts and sketches into precise, dimensioned drawings and designs.
- Ensure that drawings are accurate, adhere to industry standards, and meet regulatory requirements.
- Pay meticulous attention to dimensions, tolerances, and material specifications.
- Incorporate feedback and make necessary revisions to drawings as projects evolve or to address any issues during the design process.
- Generate bills of materials (BOMs), assembly instructions, and technical documentation to support manufacturing, construction, or procurement processes.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, architects, project managers, and other stakeholders, to ensure seamless project development and execution.
- Stay current with CAD software updates and industry best practices.
- Maintain proficiency in using various CAD tools and explore new software to improve efficiency and capabilities.
- Perform regular checks to ensure the integrity and accuracy of CAD drawings and models.
- Identify and resolve design-related issues and challenges that may arise during the project lifecycle.
- Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met and projects are completed within budget constraints.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Diploma/Certification in designing or equivalent experience in the high-end jewellery industry for UAE/Overseas market.
- Minimum 2 years of work experience as a CAD Designer.
- Well-versed in UX, Design & Architecture.
