About the opportunity As the Chief Scientific Officer, you will play a pivotal role in driving the development of engineered protein therapies through preclinical development to commercialization. You’ll oversee clinical activities, provide strategic input on trial protocols, and manage cross-functional teams, including the Head of Cell Biology and the Head of Clinical. This role will also position you as a key scientific spokesperson, engaging with investors, presenting data at conferences, and driving the strategic vision of the company. Your leadership will help propel this company into the next phase of global growth, making a tangible impact on unmet medical needs. Duties Provide strategic oversight for multiple projects, ensuring alignment with scientific and commercial goals. Develop strategic roadmaps for drug development and preclinical research. Oversee R&D efforts in engineered protein and LBP platforms. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess and prioritize protein candidates. Manage external regulatory and strategic partnerships. Manage investor engagement, presenting data and securing funding. Skills and Experience Strong background in immunology or autoimmune therapeutics. Proven commercialization experience in small-to-mid-sized biotech. Expertise in clinical trial strategy (Phase I / II) and data analysis. Leadership capability to inspire teams and represent the company externally.
