We are looking for a versatile Systems and Network Administrator to manage our IT infrastructure and deliver top-notch technical support to our customers. The role involves troubleshooting advanced operating system and network issues, managing server deployments across global data centers, and maintaining the security and stability of our systems. If you have a strong background in Linux/Windows administration, Proxmox virtualization, and network configuration, along with a proactive and customer-focused approach, we’d love to have you on board. Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Support and Systems Administration
- Address and resolve complex customer issues related to operating system failures, network misconfigurations, and hardware malfunctions.
- Troubleshoot and fix problems in Linux distributions and Windows Server environments.
- Analyze virtual machines and bare metal servers to diagnose root causes of system failures such as kernel panics or driver issues.
- Work with the L1 support team to create documentation and refine troubleshooting processes.
- Infrastructure Maintenance and Management
- Oversee Proxmox virtualization clusters, including tasks like resource allocation, live migration, and storage optimization.
- Configure, deploy, and maintain bare metal servers using tools like DCIM and IPMI, ensuring they are up-to-date and functioning efficiently.
- Security and Compliance
- Implement and maintain network security policies, including firewalls, ACLs, and access control measures.
- Identify and address security vulnerabilities in both hypervisors and hosts, applying patches as required.
- Perform updates and upgrades on network switches to enhance performance and security.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience in systems and network administration, preferably in hosting or cloud service environments.
- Deep knowledge of Proxmox/KVM virtualization, including cluster setup, provisioning, and live migration.
- Practical experience managing bare metal servers with tools like IPMI and DCIM.
- Advanced troubleshooting capabilities for both Linux and Windows operating systems, including system logs, boot issues, and remote desktop tools.
- Understanding of IP address management and subnet allocation.
- Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical users effectively.
- Relevant certifications such as Juniper (JNCIA/JNCIS), Arista (ACE), RHCE, CCNA, or Proxmox.
- Hands-on experience with Juniper Junos OS or Arista EOS, including VLAN, LACP, and IPMI configurations.
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools like Zabbix, Grafana, LibreNMS, or Noction NFA.
- Scripting or automation experience (e.g., Bash, Python, or Ansible) is an advantage.
