The Role: We are seeking a dedicated Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our multi-disciplinary team. In this role, you will maintain and troubleshoot gas and diesel generator plants, gas-handling systems, and other associated equipment, contributing to the success of our bioenergy operations. Responsibilities:
- Perform scheduled preventive and predictive maintenance on electrical and electronic components of generating and gas-handling plants.
- Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on electrical systems and equipment to minimise downtime.
- Calibrate instrumentation and maintain accurate records to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Maximise plant uptime by performing on-line machine adjustments and supporting operational needs.
- Coordinate with external contractors and liaise effectively to ensure smooth operations.
- Identify and implement improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance and reliability.
- Assist in the installation of new plant and equipment as required.
- Participate in training programmes, supporting personal development and team growth.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, ensuring tools and parts are stored appropriately.
- Adhere to ETCI guidelines and health and safety standards.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience post-apprenticeship.
- Electrical Trade Certificate or equivalent electrical qualification.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills, particularly with control systems.
- Previous experience in industrial control systems.
- Methodical and flexible team player with a willingness to learn.
- Clean driving licence (company vehicle provided).
- Willingness to participate in an on-call rota and occasional overtime as required.
- Base Salary of €49,000
- Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- 22 days annually, increasing with length of service.
- VHI allowance.
- On-call allowance.
- Company vehicle provided.
