Description
Position: Home Support Worker Location: Listowel and Surrounding Areas About Us WHC Services is a leading provider of home care services, proudly supporting individuals across County Kerry to maintain their independence and dignity in the comfort of their own homes. Our compassionate and personalized approach ensures clients receive the highest quality of care tailored to their needs. We are now looking for dedicated and caring nursing and healthcare students to join our team as Home Support Workers in Listowel and surrounding areas. This is an ideal opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the healthcare sector while making a positive impact in your community. Key Responsibilities- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication reminders.
- Provide companionship and emotional support.
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks.
- Currently enrolled in a nursing or healthcare-related program.
- Reliable and dependable with a caring and kind demeanor.
- Valid, clean driver’s license with access to your own vehicle.
- Commitment to a person-centered approach when interacting with clients.
- QQI Level 5 qualification in Healthcare Support, Care Skills, or Care of the Older Person is an advantage (or willingness to work towards obtaining it with WHC's support).
- Strong communication and practical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in a health or social care setting is desirable but not essential (full training provided).
