Job Title: Philanthropy and Events Officer Department: Fundraising Reports to: Head of Philanthropy Location: Dublin, Ireland (with hybrid working available) About the Role This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic individual looking to develop their skills in fundraising and philanthropy. As Philanthropy and Events Officer, you will support the fundraising team by helping to coordinate activities aimed at securing financial support from corporations, trusts, foundations, and high-net-worth individuals. You will assist the Head of Philanthropy with building relationships with donors, maintaining records, and contributing to the success of fundraising campaigns that make a real difference in the lives of those affected by Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB). Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive corporate and major giving fundraising strategy.
- Achieve ambitious income targets across trusts & foundations, corporate partnerships, and major gifts.
- Identify, cultivate, and steward relationships with existing and potential donors.
- Prepare compelling funding proposals, presentations, and impact reports.
- Assist with the planning and coordination of a corporate engagement program to support fundraising goals.
- Collaborate with the wider fundraising team to maximise income generation and supporter engagement.
- Manage donor information on CRM, ensuring accuracy and effective data segmentation.
- Stay informed about best practices and trends in corporate and major giving fundraising.
- Always represent the organisation in a professional manner.
- Third-level qualification in marketing, business, or a related discipline.
- Proven track record of success in corporate fundraising, securing major gifts, and/or grant writing.
- Experience in developing and implementing fundraising strategies.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong understanding of GDPR regulations.
- Professional fundraising qualification.
- Experience with CRM databases.
- Experience in event planning and execution.
- Strategic thinker with a strong results orientation.
- Excellent communicator (written and verbal).
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Passionate about making a difference.
- Salary: €40,000-€45,000 per annum (depending on experience)
- Full-time: 35-hour week
- Hybrid working: Based in Dublin with flexibility to work remotely
- Benefits: 22 days annual leave, company days on Good Friday and Christmas Eve, TOIL for evening/weekend work, 6-month probationary period
- Garda vetting: Required in line with HSE guidelines
