ROLE TITLE: MATERIALS/SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGER REPORTS TO: OPERATIONS MANAGER Summary: The Supply Chain Manager leads the customer service, purchasing, and materials and production scheduling functions. This position is responsible for the integration of supply chain activities leading to optimal customer service, product supply, inventory investment and cost. The role will direct and coordinate all materials-related activities and oversee the customer supply chain process at MGS Leixlip, including procurement, receipt, storage, scheduling, dispersal, and shipment of finished products, parts, and services. Essential Functions:
- Know and follow all the Company's safety rules, such as safe work practices and standard operating procedures.
- Serve as a good role model for employees regarding safe work practices and behaviour.
- Learn and master all necessary areas of the quality system.
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
- Direct the activities of the Supply Chain Department to ensure timely receipt and scheduling of all material requirements, including buying, planning, and scheduling activities.
- Develop, maintain, and ensure accuracy of the master production schedule and materials requirements plan.
- Implement and influence best practices in customer service, forecasting, supply chain management, inventory management, warehouse management, and master scheduling.
- Analyze trade-offs and issues impacting production, materials planning, scheduling, customer service, and warehouse management.
- Develop and implement production and inventory optimization strategies for product promotions, new product introductions, and discontinued products.
- Manage monthly labour and production metrics related to customer service, purchasing, warehouse, and inventory management.
- Work closely with key suppliers to reduce raw material inventory, delivery lead time, and inbound logistics cost.
- Collaborate with manufacturing to develop long-term capacity plans for the facility.
- Provide tactical and strategic direction, serve as a point of contact, prepare briefings for senior management, and assist in problem resolution.

- Bachelor's degree in business with a minimum of 10 years of materials experience and 7 years of demonstrated leadership experience in global procurement, planning, and distribution.
- APICS Full Certification is a plus.
- Working knowledge of Quality Management Systems.
- General office area with moderate noise.
- Occasionally projects may require working at suppliers, customers, or on the shop floor.
