We are currently on the look out for Healthcare Assistants to join our team in The Residence Maynooth Nursing Home in Straffan Road, Maynooth, Co. Kildare, W23 H028. Experience and/or qualifications in caring for the elderly would be advantageous.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Provide care to residents ensuring their independence is promoted and that residents’ dignity is maintained at all times. This will involve following your clients' care plan - assistance with personal care and mobility.
2. Excellent observation skills are very important.
3. Develop and maintain good relationships with residents and their families.
4. Adhere to confidentiality policy at all times.
5. Ensure resident safety through a high level of observation skills, accurate recording & reporting.
6. Deliver high quality care and assistance to our residents as per their Care Plan – personal care, toileting, moving & transferring.
7. Observe, listen and engage with residents.
8. Be punctual and manage time effectively.
9. Communicate any changes or concerns in relation to resident needs/care.
10. Adhere to Health & Safety and Infection Prevention and Control regulations.

• 12 hour shift
• Day shift
• Night shift
