Make an Impact by: Support Engineer for the Singtel TV broadcast systems for Singtel TV, CAST, Singtel Business TV, Optus Sports, and cross-carriage services. Supports three broadcast data centres onsite/remotely. Service and system performance monitoring – proactive and predictive. Service recovery of live services – headend, ingest, and playout. Event management – Major events (EPL, FIFAWC, EURO, national significant broadcast event). Ops excellence – IT Disaster Recovery Plan exercise, IMDA regulatory compliance, and Security audit compliance. Managing live content/sports event acquisition via satellite, fibre, and IP delivery. Work closely with the project and operations teams; and external parties in problem troubleshooting and resolution. Perform system administration tasks such as system hardening, patch installation, and inventory. Create and update technical reports and system documents. To always work safely, complying with Singtel workplace safety and health policies. Skills for Success: Diploma/Degree in Electronics or Computer Engineering. 2 years’ experience in the broadcasting/media industry, preferably working as Support Engineer. Good knowledge and experience in:
- Ingest and playout systems.
- Media asset management system.
- Understanding of live and file-based workflows.
- Operation and maintenance of various SDI and IP-based broadcast systems (e.g., audio/video processors; audio/video broadcast monitor; graphics; subtitling; video routers; video transcoding; and video compression/transport).
- Server, workstation, and network troubleshooting and maintenance.
- IT security compliance.
- Experience in networking, preferably CCNA certified.
