Our client supplies ingredients to over 30 countries worldwide. A leading nutritional ingredients supplier, they are leaders in their market. They are searching for a Procurement Manager, in a new and exciting role to support the Supply Chain Director.Job RoleThe Procurement Manager has the responsibility for leading the procurement activities of the organisation to ensure that goods and services are sourced efficiently, cost-effectively, and in compliance with organisational policies and relevant regulations. The role involves supplier relationship management, negotiation, and ensuring the timely delivery of materials and services to support the organisation's operational and strategic objectives.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement procurement strategies that align with the overall business objectivesAnalyse market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities and risk mitigation measuresMonitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand to ensure continuity of supplyOversee the procurement process, including requisitions, purchase orders, and delivery trackingEnsure compliance with procurement policies, legal requirements, and industry regulationsResolve issues related to delivery, quality, or invoicing with suppliersPrepare regular reports on procurement performance, savings achieved, and supplier evaluationsWork closely with internal departments to understand their procurement needsUse data analytics and reporting tools to help facilitate better decision making across the businessCollaborate closely with the Sales and Pricing teams within the business, to help align and deliver competitive quotationsUnderstand the cross functional impact of decisions and have sufficient interpersonal skills to discuss and liaise with stakeholders of any necessary changesIdentify, evaluate, and establish relationships with suppliersConduct regular performance reviews and audits of suppliers to ensure quality and reliabilityNegotiate contracts, pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers to secure the best valueDrive cost-saving initiatives and maintain financial accountabilityAnalyse spend data to identify trends and opportunities for cost reductionPersonal ProfileA minimum 3rd level honours degree qualification in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or similar5+ years' experience in a similar or suitably adjacent role, preferably in an ingredients or related industryExperience in contract law and procurement regulationsExperience working in a technical/science-based company a distinct advantageGood business sense with genuine interest and natural curiosity for the food/chemical/dietary supplements industryAbility to work in a dynamic, nimble, entrepreneurial and fast-moving environmentStrong analytical skills (expert knowledge of MS Excel, BI, POWER BI, SQL or other similar tools)Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail and high degree of accuracyStrong organisational, planning and time management skillsAbility to work effectively within a team and manage cross-functional collaborationStrong communicator who can clearly present her/his ideas across different levels of the businessRef Code: FMW41681To apply, please e-mail in strict confidence, with a comprehensive CV, including salary details, quoting the above reference and for the attention of Jon Hemming-Nash.Due to a high volume of responses, we cannot reply to each application individually.
