BMC Helix Operations Management(BHOM) Engineer

MBI Digital is looking for an IT and Infrastructure Support Engineer with 5+ yrs experience and specialization in BMC Helix Operations Management and BMC Patrol. This is a 100% remote position. Candidates should be willing to work on weekends / on call (as needed) and overlap in the US EST time zone until 2:30 PM EST. Roles & Responsibilities
- Monitoring BMC TrueSight Operations Management (patrol/BHOM), deploying BHOM, collectors, thresholds data centers, networking, etc
- Configure and customize BMC Helix Operations Management or TrueSight Operations Management solutions to align with client requirements. Adjust system settings and features to meet operational needs
- Experience in triaging and resolving technical issues experienced by company employees and maintain help desk tickets
- Update, maintain and monitor computer networks (Cisco VPN, BMC BEM, License Management)
- Establish Arcserve backups of SQL Databases, Physical and Virtual Servers (Administer updates, Recovery and backup job maintenance)
- Facilitate proactive cybersecurity practices (Virus Protection, Phishing Awareness, Disaster Recovery)
- IT onboarding for new employees/contractors (Laptop deployment, Email, Active Directory, Remote Office)
- Create standard operating procedures for technical installations or configurations on internal Wiki, company Jira and company Intranet
- Execute installation, management and routine deployment of VMware infrastructure
- Virtualization of physical servers utilizing VMware and Arcserve Backup
- Candidate must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in IT and Infrastructure
- Should have min 5 years of IT experience
- Knowledge of Splunk, SolarWinds, Idera
- Experience with cloud migration and “Lift and Ship” to AWS Cloud
- Understanding or experience of audit processes like SOC 2 Compliance
- Having knowledge of ITSM and experience working in ITIL projects
- Problem-solving skills and proven record of working well in a team environment
- Advanced proficiency in communication skills (verbal and written) across all organizational levels
- Critical thinker and complex problem-solving capabilities with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to be effective in an environment of rapid change and complexity
- Ability to document technical as well as management process flows
- Ability to work effectively with business and other functional teams
- Well Organized with a positive attitude, ability to work in customer facing env & should be able to communicate with Customers, Vendors, and other internal groups as required.
- Exercises independent judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
- Willing to work overlapping with US Eastern timezone, weekend and on-call support will be required.
