Candidates must be based in Mumbai or willing to relocate to Mumbai II Salary upto 28LPA II GLOBAL JOB TITLE: Sales Manager REPORTS TO: Director Sales – APAC LOCATION: Mumbai REPORTS: None KEY RELATIONSHIPS: Internal: Head of Sales, Regional Marketing Team, Product Team, Customer Growth and Customer Success Team, HR. External: Clients in the APAC region (particularly India), Industry Partners, Prospective Customers, Local Sales PFA JD for your reference. We have a requirement for a Sales Manager in India. The detailed JD is attached herewith. Purpose of this role : This role is responsible for acquiring new clients, driving sales and expanding the company's market footprint in India. Reporting to:

  • Primary: Sales Director, APAC – Jake Bristow, based in Hong Kong
  • Secondary (Dotted Line): Regional Director, APAC – based in Mumbai
  • This role will be based in Mumbai . Candidates must be based in Mumbai or willing to relocate to Mumbai
Salary:
  • Fixed: Up to INR 28 LPA
  • Variable/Bonus: Details to follow in a separate communication
Key Requirements:
  1. Proven track record in selling SaaS solutions.
  2. Strong experience in acquiring new logos and new business. ( hunting sales )
  3. The current setup does not include a dedicated sales team, so the person in this role will not have direct reportees initially. Instead, they will focus on laying the groundwork for sales, with the possibility of team expansion based on revenue growth and business needs. Please note we have a strong inside sales team in place.
  4. The candidate should have very good communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to secure meetings with decision-makers at other companies and open avenues for the leadership team (Jake and Smitha) to engage in strategic discussions.
  5. Open to domestic travel across India and occasional international travel as required.
Representatives. TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: The successful candidate will be required to travel at a minimum around India to meet with prospective customers and existing customers for sales meetings, system demonstrations and implementation sessions. Possible requirement to travel internationally but less likely and less frequently. Job Purpose: As a Sales Manager for the APAC region, with a primary focus on India, you will be instrumental in driving sales growth and expanding our market presence for our SaaS platform that offers comprehensive solutions in supply chain risk management, due diligence, health, and safety audits, and ESG services. Your key responsibility will be to generate and maximize sales revenue from the APAC market, develop strong relationships with key clients and partners, and driving the adoption of our SaaS solutions. This role requires a strategic and results-driven sales professional with deep knowledge of the APAC market, particularly India. Responsibilities: 1. Sales Strategy Development and Execution: • Develop and implement a robust sales strategy specifically targeting the Indian market, to drive revenue growth and market penetration. • Identify key market opportunities and target sectors within India, particularly in supply chain risk management, due diligence, health, and safety audits, and ESG services. 2. Market Expansion and Revenue Growth: • Lead efforts to expand our customer base in India, focusing on acquiring new clients and upselling to existing clients in India and surrounding markets. • Achieve and exceed sales targets by effectively managing the sales pipeline, from lead generation to closing deals. 3. Client Relationship Management: • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients in the APAC region, understanding their needs and ensuring our solutions meet their specific challenges. • Act as the primary point of contact for major clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty. 4. Team Collaboration and Leadership: • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and customer success, to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction. • Provide market insights and feedback to the product and marketing teams to tailor offerings to the needs of the APAC market. 5. Market and Competitive Analysis: • Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities in the APAC region, particularly in India. • Use market intelligence to refine sales strategies and adapt to changing market dynamics. 6. Reporting and Forecasting: • Prepare and present regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance metrics to senior management, with a focus on the APAC market. • Monitor sales performance and make data-driven decisions to optimize sales efforts. 7. Product Knowledge and Training: • Maintain a deep understanding of our SaaS platform’s features, benefits, and applications, and effectively communicate these to potential clients in the APAC region. • Provide training and support to ensure that local sales teams are equipped with the necessary knowledge andtools to succeed. Person Specification: Education and Experience: • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA is a plus. • 5+ years of experience in SaaS sales, with a proven track record of success in the APAC region, particularly in India. • Experience in selling solutions related to supply chain risk management, due diligence, health, and safety audits, and ESG services will have an advantage. Skills and Competencies: • Strong understanding of the APAC market, with deep knowledge of industry trends and client needs in India. • Excellent sales and negotiation skills, with a proven ability to close deals and achieve revenue targets. • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders. • Strategic thinker with the ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic market environment. • Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and other sales tools. • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret market data and make informed decisions.
