Job Description Who we are looking for… A motivated and technically savvy Windows & Linux Systems Engineer who is adept at designing, installing, and configuring servers, storage arrays, open-source platforms and performing system integration, testing, and operational support. The ideal person enjoys solving challenging problems in a fast-paced and dynamic team environment and has an interest in learning more about Linux. - Manage and monitor all systems and infrastructure
- Execute daily support of all systems
- Monitor and test system performance
- Interact and negotiate with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors
- Develop strategies for system improvements
- Create system design models, specifications, diagrams, and charts
- Perform server and security audits and system backup procedure
- Integrate servers
- Ensure system connectivity of all servers
- 5+ years of experience working as a Windows Engineer
- 5+ years of experience working with Linux OS
- Versed in Hyper-V and VMWare hypervisors both stand alone and clustered environments
- Knowledge in multiple scripting languages (PowerShell, Python etc.)
- Experience using and configuring Salt a plus
- Experience with proxying, load balancing, sticky sessions a plus
