Job Description: Aircraft Corrosion Control Technician - 00124242 Location: Dhahran, Saudi Arabia JOB PURPOSE The Aircraft Corrosion Control Technician will be responsible to the Corrosion Control Supervisor as directed by the Corrosion Control Superintendent. This role includes ensuring compliance with all relevant company policies and maintaining aircraft, its components, and resource SQEP levels in accordance with the M&CA Mandates and Pt145 Maintenance Organisation Exposition. The position holder will ensure that BAE Systems maintenance support is delivered effectively to meet RSAF requirements and mitigate any activities likely to prejudice maintenance or safety. Responsibilities include:

  1. Providing support to the Approved Maintenance Organisation (AMO) to ensure the delivery of serviceable aircraft to accomplish contractual operational and flying commitments.
  2. Training technicians and maintaining a strong safety culture while fault finding, repairing, and delivering serviceable assets to maintain the customer's daily flying programme.
  3. Providing accurate and up-to-date information to Line Managers to ensure the ETIC schedule is achieved.
  4. Managing tooling and spray equipment repairable components into the supply repair channel, ensuring efficient and effective supply discipline.
  5. Ensuring compliance with SHE requirements, TMDE calibration cycles, Support Equipment maintenance cycles, and the Tool Control system.
  6. Carrying out shop duties as directed and deputizing as corrosion control supervisor during periods of leave or absence.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS The candidate should be familiar with RSAF Publications and be a member of the Saudi Council of Engineers. Experience in a Part 145 organisation is preferred. Candidates should be able to work independently to resolve technical issues and have extensive proven post-qualification relevant experience supported by formal recorded workplace applied related training OR successful completion of the BAESSA apprenticeship programme (SNTTP/TSNTTP). A recognised qualification to NVQ3/ONC/OND/BTEC level in a relevant technical discipline or suitable equivalent technical qualification acceptable to M&CA is required. Alternatively, Part 66 licensed (current or lapsed) or suitable equivalent technical license acceptable to M&CA is acceptable. Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of aircraft maintenance and engineering, human factors, error management, health & safety, and proactive hazard analysis appropriate to the role is essential. Broad aerospace and defence company/industry knowledge and an understanding of BAESSA engineering operating procedures are also necessary.
