Job Summary: As the Commercial Manager , you will oversee the commercial operations, develop and execute business strategies, and manage key client accounts. This role is integral to achieving the company's financial and growth objectives in the highly dynamic transportation sector. Commercial Strategy and Execution

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive commercial strategy to drive revenue growth and market share.
  • Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and markets to expand the company’s footprint.
  • Lead pricing, tendering, and contract negotiations to ensure profitability and competitiveness.
Client Relationship Management
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and partners.
  • Act as the main point of contact for commercial inquiries and resolve client concerns promptly.
  • Collaborate with the sales and operations teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
Team Leadership and Collaboration
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the commercial team to achieve departmental and company goals.
  • Work closely with marketing, operations, and finance teams to align strategies and deliver results.
  • Ensure the team adheres to company policies, industry standards, and compliance regulations.
Market and Financial Analysis
  • Conduct market research to stay ahead of industry trends and competitor activities.
  • Analyze financial data, sales performance, and customer insights to make data-driven decisions.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on commercial performance and opportunities to senior leadership.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Master’s degree (MBA) or equivalent qualification is a plus.
  • 14+ years of experience in a commercial or business development role, preferably in the transportation, logistics, or supply chain sector.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
Skills:
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage diverse stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to execute and achieve results.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools, Microsoft Office Suite, and financial analysis software.
  • Knowledge of transportation regulations, trends, and market dynamics.
